Oh toilet !!!!

Guess what, i got a flight in the morning and suddenly i need to rush to the toilet just like anybody else. In fact i have more important things to do than just that. The stomach keeps swirling just like the washing machine and wants to be realeased. So i run to the public toilet at Kuching International Airport. The first one, there was a sign "rosak harap maaf" means sorry breakdown. Secondly, the urinal was covered with plastic sheet indicating that you cannot pee there because it is also break down. So i ran to the other toilet alittle bit down the walkway which is near the smoking room. Again to my surprise the other toilet for the disable also put up with the same sign " rosak harap maaf." It was not that toilet that i wanted to go, then i proceed to the other toilet just next to it and again the same thing happen . Three toilet were all closed. 2 were occupied and the other one is rosak or breakdown so i cannot use it. The urinal which are 3, only can be used one. Two of them were breakdown due to water blockage.
I decided not to keep looking for other toilet and upset myself. I hold on to myself and get on the board heading to my destination. My journey took me 1 hour and once i reach my destination i quickly find the toilet and  of course finish the things.
I was thinking to myself that those incident happen at the international airport where traveller and tourist especially the first timer who come to Kuching experience the toilet woos!.
Is this how we keep our toilet at the first gateway to Sarawak and give the first impresion to the visitors? The airport management should act and rectify the problem and get the toilet to be fixed and keep them clean. We are not bother to look at those sign or keeep yourself busy tagging the sign "rosak harap maaf" to all the doors in the toilet at the airport.

Miri and my hotel

Today i have a business meeting in the city of Miri. Miri is one of the city in Sarawak. It is well known as oil city.  Once arrived at the airport , i decided to get a cab and drive me to the city and to  the hotel i have booked through online. Somehow i have changed my mind and rent a nice white cute Myvi car  as my transport for the day. A nice lady with good marketing n sales strategy has tempted me to their car rental service . Thanks to them as i have a lengthy destination to cover and spend my day here.
I took my car and heading to the hotel Grand Palace Hotel. I booked for 250.00 for a night and hey this is a good hotel , easy access to the areas of shopping, near the main road and you can find a lot of eating places near plus a good night outing if you are a night goer, you will find this hotel is a good choice.
I walked up the elevator to my room located at 4 th floor. And my room view is strategically facing the Canada Hill and front of main road. It was a rainy day and i couldnt walk outside and decided just spend the afternoon in the room.
I got my handphone and started texting my wife to letting her that i am safe and sound here. Hehe.
I started to grap my ipad and surf the email, internet and etc, only to find that the wifi is not free and charge for RM 12.for the day.  That was a set back and sad as the hotel should give a free wifi to the guest . This has been practiced by other hotel owner across the country and as an advantage and additional value to the guest.
Fortunately, my iphone can assist me with the personal hotspot and now i can blog and tell you my stories.
The rain just stopped and i can go down and walk to the nearest eating place and have my stomach filled.
I started the next day with the complimentary breakfast at the hotel. The food is served with varieties of east and west meal, light and kind a heavy for breakfast. I choose to take a slice of bread with jams and butter, hot tea and 2 half boiled eggs. I wanted to take some laksa siam which is also served but decided not to because it should spare for my next lunch meal.
I checked out from the hotel a little late about 1.35pm which is supposed to 12.00 noon. Somehow the front desk lady on duty allow me and help me to do the checking out without any hussle and smooth. One thing that i know from her was the rate for the hotel is cheaper if i do the booking my phone call or walk in compare by Agoda.
I left the lobby and heading to the airport to catch my flight to Labuan.
Catch you later. Bye.
